Mart Eerens started on trumpet at age 6, but soon after picked up the guitar. Inspired by 50s and 60s Rock N Roll icons, he started writing songs that you hear today.

Darren Lut

Darren strongly believes that everyone should at least have one “thing” that makes them happy. That one thing that you enjoy doing that’s able to distract you from everything else.
For almost ten years now playing the drums is that one “thing” for Darren. When he was about ten years old, Darren’s father taught him the basics of playing. His father barely had any musical knowledge, he just felt it. And for the past ten years Darren has tried to replicate that type of knowledge in his playing.
Nowadays Darren can be known for being a versatile drummer who can adapt to very different genres of music. But most of his inspiration comes from artists like TOTO, The Police, Alice Cooper and Sabrina Carpenter.
His idea of a perfect song:
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant – Billy Joel.

Joey Boer

Joey Boer is a keyboard player from Groningen, The Netherlands. For almost 20 years Joey has explored a multitude of different genres and styles. He can be best described as a real music fan and consumer and is always looking for ways to make his playing sound fresh and interesting. Among his biggest influences are well-known icons like Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Elton John, and legendary bands such as Supertramp, Pink Floyd and The Who.
Joey loves playing in a band because it allows him to connect with other musicians and create something special together. The energy and excitement of live performances is what he lives for. For Joey, being part of a band is a constant source of creativity, inspiration and fun!

Ronald de Jonge

Ronald de Jonge started playing saxophone since he was 10 en ever since then it has been his biggest outlet. He has played many different genres and tries to take something from all of them.
For Ronald the most important part of playing music is to express yourself and to get as much of yourself in your playing as you can. Most of his inspiration comes from saxophone players like Clarence Clemons and David Sanborn and bands like Pick Floyd and Deep Purple.

Steven van der Meer

Steven van der Meer started playing music when he moved to Groningen at 18 years old,
when a white dove flew over his house carrying an olive branch with a note attached to it that said:”You’re too cool for school, Steven.”.
he kissed the white dove goodbye and and went to join Mart Eeren’s band as bass player.
Many more mythical events such as these are a daily occurence for the young bass player, he is however endlessly modest.

Remco Meijer

Remco Meijer had no idea what to do with his life, so at some point he just started taking pictures. Sometimes he records and edits videos too. Turns out he kind of enjoyed that so he continued doing so.
He has too many hobbies which makes him somewhat competent at lots of stuff. The things he loves most are walking around with his camera and taking too many pictures, going to thrift stores looking for a cool outfit or an old camera, living in a constant state of minor chaos, being outside while the weather is nice, being inside when the weather is bad, exploring new places, painting his nails and smashing the patriarchy. He’s also great at coming up with great ideas and plans but not doing anything with them.

Mariia Bordacheva

Designer
Mariia Bordacheva is an illustrator and animator based in Groningen. She was drawing from the early childhood and has gone to multiple art schools throughout her life, including Minerva Art Academy that she is currently in.
Mariia’s biggest interest in art is visual communication with a viewer, because she views illustration as a form of storytelling. She finds experimenting with mediums and materials important and exciting, so she frequently tries sculpture, animation, printmaking and other techniques to broaden her practice and improve her visual communication skills.
The most influential artists for her are Jan Svankmajer, Egon Schiele and El Lissitzky.
Sanne Postema

Manager/Booker
Sanne is the manager and booker for Mart Eerens. Sanne has a big passion for music, she started out with playing guitar in her younger years and has also followed singing lessons. With her passion for music she visited a lot of concerts and started helping out at festivals, working her way up to be Backstage Manager.
Because of this she has a big network in the music industry and started working as a Manager/PR for FXMKE.
Later on Sanne crossed paths with Mart Eerens and Bruno Storm, doing Management and Bookings for both acts. Her other passions include design and web development.
